Aligning With the Writer Within

How do we align with the writer within? There are so many tools to help you write today, but how do you pull out of you what you were born to write? I am guilty of using AI tools for menial things in writing. But what about that inner voice that says, I have something to say from the depths of my heart?
Let me tell you a little about me. My writing began in my bedroom hiding in my closet from predators as a child, domestic violence was a household name, and hitting was all too often. It took years to understand my writing should not be coming from pain. Pain is to help you write about love, surviving the odds, and overcoming to help others. There are several steps I use to help me to keep it real in my writing.
I have read books that had so much pain, you could feel it in the room. Which is not what you want. You want writing that is going to help your perception of life, heal your spirit, soul, and body, and encourage you to stand up and move forward. Here are three things I have done to help me in my journey of healing.
Pray
Journal my testimony (writing is healing).
Deal with my trauma through coaching or counsel.
This is what helped me to move forward, in the end I found out my life was not about me. But helping someone else to understand their journey. This is why 'Trace' is important because it gives you freedom to write with purpose, hope, and love to help someone else.
Remember, let love rule your day, never lose hope, and learn to encourage someone else.
