In every season there is a time component. Just as the picture above shows cars crossing the road they are blurry. Why? Because sometimes crossing the road may bring a little distortion. As I begin my new journey in writing, the lines are black and white with a little fuzziness. Becasue of this new venture to step out and create change. I am not one to say I know it all but I am one to admit there has been some bumps and bruises along the way.

Within those bumps and bruises is how I can teach you how to not make the mistakes I made. It is called life, and sometimes life speaks loud to bring distortions. It is with great joy I present to you Real Life Writing with Janora Shaw-Hicks.

We will be discussing my achievements, failures, and inbetween spaces. It is my pleasure to serve you with a great abundance of wealth and over 15 years of writing. My story began years ago in my bedroom closet (which was my place of safety) it kept me clear of the abusive episodes with my mother and being molested by her boyfriends. Following an incident of abuse, I stood in the center of my bedroom, raised my arm toward the sky, and prayed for God's assistance in helping other children avoid the abuse I experienced.

Until this day, this has been my battle cry. Helping others, it is my passion and heart. The thing I wake up to do everyday. Finding a way to help someone else. Now, after eight years of caregiving it is time to move foward. So, for the last eight years I have written a lot of books, and now it is time to re-type and publish them. It is a tremendous honor for me to give back using the very tool that helped me deal with my abuse in the privacy of my room.
